We hope everyone is having a great spring. Our group was out participating in the borough cleanup on April 27th .
The third graders from Propel Pitcairn did a great job planting flowers in the Memory Garden on Wall Avenue this year.
Part of our sidewalk project on Broadway is completed, and looks great. The balance of that project, from 1026 Broadway to Jewell Way hopefully will be completed over the next two years, depending, of course on how much money we can raise.
The next project we want to TRY to accomplish is to work with the citizens who are concerned about the drug trafficking that is going on in our community. While Chief Farally and his police department, the County police and the FBI are doing a great job, it takes them time to build a case so that they can arrest anyone.
Tenants and home owners alike should be concerned with what is going on around them. If you feel that you would like to do something, but don’t know what, or how to do anything, maybe we can help.
We have been doing some research on both state and federal laws that deal with this problem and we would like to share them with you. To accomplish this, we will be working through our Neighborhood Watch group and with the Borough Police Department. We will be discussing this in a lot more detail at the Neighborhood Watch group meeting on June 18 th , at 6:30 PM at the Park Building. Please circle the date on your calendar and join us. We want to hear your ideas and share ours with you. Please remember ,you are part of our community, no matter what part of it you live in, and what happens in our community will affect you, one way or another.
